What Are The Keys To Your Heart?

Friday, August 26, 2005

I know i done this before, doing it again juz for the sake of fun heehee

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to obedience and warmth.

In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

Water!

Thursday, August 25, 2005

Was at client's office for a full whole day for a user training on the new site that our company developed for them...It's really interesting to see a bunch of 30's over people sitting there, posting questions and different behaviour to some of the happenings...Was wondering will I be like them when I reach their age.

Anyway there's this poster outside their conference room that reads something like this - "A person is like a teabag, you need to put them into a hot cup of boiling water to know the quality/taste of the drink..." (Can't remember the exact quote, rephasing here and there)

Interesting on the internet there's this phase, prob. the originality came from there
"A woman is like a tea bag- you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water."
- Eleanor Roosevelt

Then I ask my colleage to have a look and jokingly told her, ya then you gotta throw them into a hot pot of boiling water man and then they would live in a hazardous(水深火热) environment haha. The mind is really good at associating things, one thing leads to another, whereby I came upon to remember the story our SM Goh told before (hopefully i'm not wrong)...

Also on pot of boiling water hehe; there are two pots of boiling water. In the first pot, the water was cool and there's a frog in there swimming happily, little did it know that the water temperature was increasing, water boiling... In the other pot, the water was boiled, and when another frog was thrown into it, it immediately jump out of the pot, coz it know that it can't survive. Back to the first pot, when the water reached boiling state, the frog was cooked as it was too comfortable with it's environment.

Well i would say the first frog was a bit too stupid ah, with no environment awareness. I would believe animal would have instinct to detect water boiling and then would jump out of the pot.

Coming back to the topic, the two story doesn't make sense, but they all share the same environment water! Water the essence of life it's what makes and also can break!

Perception is limited, memory is faulty

Friday, August 19, 2005

Came across this meaningful moblog while working...this blogger seems to really have a notion on what he is writing. Like his starter line - "Perception is limited, memory is faulty".

There this paragraph that goes like this -
[then there's this old man recounting his tales and somehow it becomes clear that he's distorting the truth somehow. so at this certain point, he deals with this problem and says something like this.
"call this a memoir, a fact, fairy tale or whatever that gives you comfort, but there are moments that remain true under any classification."]

Does that happens to some of us here? Well I do believe that sometimes you will cook up some white lies to make yourself more secured and comfortable, branding an image to others. But truefully it's best to know yourself and thankfully I still know bits of myself.

How do you want to live?

Thursday, August 18, 2005

Never been having the busiest moment of my live, switching myself between work, study and freelancing...Last sems for my course, doing my final year project, topic on hotel booking management system. Boy doing the research made me droop to go for another holiday...

Was happy for an ex-colleague friend of mine, she found a job. Last month she made a firm decision to leave her current company after staying for 2 years plus and not much prospects. With her new job, her job scope would be a bit different, but I am sure she would be able to handle it well in the civil sector.

Lately also noticed a habit in one of my close fren. He would sign off with a quote of life or so. However ironically to me it seems that the quote somehow doesn't match the personality that he portraits regardless of how the quote might be encouraging or positive. Somehow his negativeness is capturing my biasis judgement, however I do still reserves some fairness for the optimism of getting out of the shadows. Lately he seems to be avoiding a lot of people, or maybe he just like to hang around with new young teens or maybe just like to be alone, but this loneliness seems to hang very long.

I don't know if my words of advice would help, but ultimately he himself who tied the knot have to untie the knot heehee. Get past things that have past, memories serves as chapters in our life, create more happy chapters!

Long vacation?

Sunday, August 07, 2005

Another busy semester for me this latter half of the year!

Yup last semester for my part time study soon it shall all come to and end! But before that think about all the hardwork and effort that has to be put into the project makes me feel so sick and tired. Another reason of feeling sick and tired would most probably be working. I really wonder what's the purpose of working other that earning an income. Is there no other way of getting income?

At this point of time, I having this illusionary decision of quitting my current job and take a long break to energize myself up. This long break I can also concentrate on my project although it's done in group, I still feel that much effort is needed. And of course the last main reason would be to find some time and thoughts to what I want to do.

Yesterday was pulled by a friend to attend one of those entrepreneur talk by those financial services organization. Initially I thought it would be one of those talk to persuade you to join their industries. However, the talk was much neutral as it focuses on motivational themes than to get people join their industry. Anyway, the invited speaker for the talk was Adam Khoo, some of you might have heard his name as one of the youngest
entrepreneur in Singapore who turned into a millionaire by 26 in Singapore.

Anyway the talk was more fruitful than neutral and fruitful than expected. Came to realized that I have lost some bits of passion in IT now. Don't ask me why, maybe it's juz the way how things might work out after working in there for a while or maybe meeting the wrong type of organization and people or maybe I too focused into my studies that I feel so sian to do OT unless of course required...

Now can somebody point me back to the way I came from or where I can head to?

(PS*: I dunoo if this is a grumpy post, but at least this is how i feel about the part of taking long vacations...)
